Dr. Royal Raymond Rife
Dr. Royal Raymond Rife was perhaps the most brilliant and persistent scientist in history. What follows is a brief description of how Dr. Rife developed a remarkable technology. Where technology didn't exist, Dr. Rife invented it, such as the first microdissectors, micromanipulators, and heterodyning ultraviolet microscopes. Dr Rife was the inventor of the Universal Microscope which he presented to the world in 1933.
Besides being the most powerful optical microscope ever made up to that time, it was also the most versatile. The Universal used all types of illumination: polarised, monochromatic or white light, dark field, slit ultra and infra-red. It could be used for all manner of microscopical work, including petrological work or for crystallography and photomicrography. According to a report submitted to the Journal of the Franklin Institute it had a magnification of 60,000x, and a resolution of 31,000x. The ocular of this instrument was binocular, but it also had a detachable segment lower in the body for monocular observation at 1800x (x=power) magnification.
One of the most attractive features of this microscope is that, in contrast to the Electron Microscope, the Universal Microscope does not kill the specimens under observation and affords observation of natural living specimens in all circumstances, meaning it does not rely on fixing or staining to render visibility or definition. Dr. Rife won 14 government awards for scientific discoveries, and a medical degree (hon.) from the University of Heidelberg . Millionaires like Henry Timken (owner of Timken Bearings) financed Dr. Rife's work.
In the 1930's and after nearly 20,000 unsuccessful attempts, Dr. Rife finally isolated and identified the human cancer virus, and named it Cryptocides Primordiales. Dr. Rife inoculated 411 lab animals with this virus, created 411 tumors, and then eliminated them. He did the same with many other diseases. The discoveries of Dr. Rife were presented to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington and the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia along with the frequency generators used. This is all in The Cancer Cure That Worked, a book written by Barry Lynes in 1987.
How did Dr. Rife's frequency generators eliminate so many different afflictions? For decades, Dr. Rife painstakingly identified the precise coordinative resonant frequency unique to each disease, using spectroscopic microscopes.
By the late 1950's even independent doctors and labs (among them New York 's Presbyterian Hospital ) unaware of Dr. Rife's work, were bringing forth their own proof that cancer was an infectious disease caused by a bacteria that changed into a virus, and maintained that “cancer does not consist of a localized tumor alone”. They described it as a generalized disease caused by an organism in the blood stream. In the 1966 Lawrence Burton, a scientist under the aegis of the American Cancer Society, he arranged for an audience of 70 scientists and some 200 science writers and performed for them a demonstration using mice with visible tumors. He injected each with a solution and in just 45 minutes the tumors had shrunk 50%. An hour and a half later, the tumors had practically disappeared. Newspapers around the world ran the story of Dr Burton and his cancer cure on their front pages.Isn't it far more profitable for big drug companies to sell you a "maintenance" product that you have to take for the rest of your life than to offer a simple cure? Wouldn't the well-paid researcher have to find something else to do with his life if a cure for cancer were actually found? Wouldn't the drug companies apply all kinds of pressure to keep the cure from the public so they can keep on selling you the expensive maintenance drug?
Biophysicists have proved that there's a natural interaction between living matter and photons of light which is measurable at the cellular level. Their research has also proven that such living systems are also extremely sensitive to extra low energy electromagnetic waves. In other words, each kind of micro organism reacts to a particular resonant frequency. What Dr. Rife did was to ‘tune' the light into the frequency of the organism which caused the cell to resonate. In effect, this caused the organism to “illuminate itself”.
With his new microscope Dr. Rife was able to observe living viruses and determine that bacteria could change into viruses and that viruses could actually change form! (With this superb microscope, Dr. Rife became the first human being to actually see a living virus in its natural color).
A controversy had raged about this theory for over 100 years and Dr. Rife's “proof” is what brought even greater controversy. After all, it violated the strongest medical dogma - that of the germ theory of disease. Their are billions of dollars going to high-profile research institutions to combat health problems like heart disease and cancer, it's not too difficult to begin to think that all these organizations that make so much money off illness might not actually want to find a cure. The big drug companies refer to these diseases as "markets" (as in "the cancer market" or "the diabetes market"). No one wants to lose their market.
Though there are those in the medical community to this day who refuse to acknowledge this, many doctors are beginning to accept that cancer could initially be caused by a bacteria, which evolves into a virus and which then changes its shape and metabolism to conform to whatever it is ‘feeding' on. Dr. Rife and the Doctors that worked with him proved this to be true. Their next step was to extrapolate the principles of the new microscope and find those frequencies which not only illuminated the virus specimens but which could also destroy them.
Over time, Dr. Rife discovered a process of selective destruction of bacteria using resonant frequency. He could select microscopic targets and actually watch them explode when looking at them through his microscope. Since then hundreds of others have conducted the same observations and experiments.
Based on these discoveries, Dr. Rife, and his associates designed a ray tube frequency generator which irradiated a patient with selected frequencies designed to kill the bacteria and viruses which were causing cancer and other diseases.
In 1934 Dr. Milbank Johnson arranged for the University of Southern California to sponsor a Special Medical Research team to evaluate the electronic therapy of Dr. Rife's on the terminally ill. An initial success rate of 87.5% was recorded (14 out of 16 patients). After the clinic closed, Dr. Rife developed some improvements on the treatments and the other two patients then fully recovered also. Every cancer patient, all 16 in the study, had recovered without side effects of any kind in the 130 days since the beginning of the clinic. Dr. Johnson's medical team which evaluated Dr. Rife's frequency therapy for the University of Southern California included: Rufus Klein-Schmidt (President, Univ. of Southern California), Milbank Johnson, (then President of the southern Calif. AMA), Arthur Kendall (Director, Northwestern Medical School), Edward Kopps (Metabolic Clinic, La Jolla), George Fischer (Children's Hospital, NY), Karl Meyer (Hooper Foundation, San Francisco), Whalen Morrison (Chief Surgeon, Santa Fe Railway), George Dock.
The other distinguished medical doctors who originally confirmed part or all of this discovery included: E.C. Rosenow, Sr. (Chief of Bacteriology, 32 yrs., at Mayo Clinic), Frederic Koch (Detroit, Brazil), Gaston Naessens (Quebec), Sakae Inoue (Japan), George Mazet (France), Franz Gerlach (Germany), Niello Mori and Clara Fonti (Italy), Cameron Gruner (McGill Univ.), T.J. Glover (Canada), Florence Seibert (V.A. Research Lab, Bay Pines, Fla.), Irene Diller (Inst. of Cancer Research, Phila., Penn), Eleanor Alex. Jackson and Virginia Livingston (NJ and San Diego clinics).
Dr. Rife truly had discovered a way to destroy deadly disease-causing organisms. His treatments were based upon a mechanical application of resonant frequency to the body. Using the equipment was simple. The medical team had treated their first patients with the resonant frequencies for 3 minutes every day, but soon learned that if the treatment were given daily the toxins from the dead micro organisms accumulated faster than the body could dispose of them. They switched to a treatment of 3 minutes every third day and the patients began healing quickly. Other medical treatments were either biological or chemical in nature and depended on the body's own immune system to heal the sick. In reality a sick person has a very poor immune system or one that is temporarily losing the battle. Dr. Rife's discoveries took the burden of healing off the body and left only the task of removing the dead organisms from the patient's system.
From 1935 to 1961 many medical doctors, researchers, clinics and even hospitals across the country, had used Dr. Rife's equipment and were enthusiastic about the results they were getting. To most there was no doubt that they could kill cancer cells with a simple 3 minute treatment. It's difficult in an article as short as this to impress upon the reader the impressive credentials and professional standings of the hundreds of people who used Dr. Rife's equipment and supported his work.
Dr. Milbank Johnson even started his own clinic to treat patients with Dr. Rife's equipment and operated it successfully for ten years before his death. Documents prove the equipment to be effective against a host of diseases. And doctors who continued to successfully treat seriously ill people tell the real story.
The gifted scientist Royal Raymond Rife truly had discovered a way to devitalize deadly disease. Rife's treatments were based upon a mechanical application of frequency to the body.
Another avid supporter of Dr. Rife was Dr. James Couche of San Diego , who inherited Dr. Johnson's work. He defied the AMA and continued to use Dr. Rife's frequency equipment for 22 years. He kept documented records of his success with it. In 1956 Dr. Couche made the following statement: “I would like to make this historical record of the amazing scientific wonders regarding the efficacy of the frequencies of the Royal R. Rife Frequency Frequency generator...
“When I was told about Dr. Rife and his frequency generator at the Ellen Scripps home near the Scripps Institute Annex some twenty-two years ago, I went out to see about it and became very interested in the cases which he had there. And the thing that brought me into it more quickly than anything was a man who had a cancer of the stomach. Rife was associated at that time with Dr. Milbank Johnson, M.D., who was then president of the Medical Association of Los Angeles, a very wealthy man and a very big man in the medical world, the biggest in Los Angeles and he had hired this annex for this demonstration over a summer of time. In that period of time I saw many things and the one that impressed me the most was a man who staggered onto a table, just on the last end of cancer; he was a bag of bones. As he lay on the table, Dr. Rife and Dr. Johson said, “Just feel that man's stomach.” “So I put my hand on the cavity where his stomach was underneath and it was a cavity almost, because he was so thin; his backbone and his belly were just about touching each other. I put my hand on his stomach which was just one solid mass, just about what I could cover with my hand, somewhat like the shape of a heart. It was absolutely solid! And I thought to myself, well, nothing can be done for that. However, they gave him a treatment with the Rife frequencies and in the course of time over a period of six weeks to two months, to my astonishment, he completely recovered. He got so well that he asked permission to go to El Centro as he had a farm there and he wanted to see about his stock. Dr. Rife said, “Now you haven't the strength to drive to El Centro.' “Oh, yes said he. I have, but I'll have a man to drive me there.” “As a matter of fact, the patient drove his own car there and when he got down to El Centro he had a sick cow and he stayed up all night with it. The next day he drove back without any rest whatsoever, so you can imagine how he had recovered. I saw other cases that were very interesting. I finally bought one of these frequency generators and established it in my office.”
Dr. Rife said of his unit “I have operated the Frequency Generator since 1921. In those years I've never suffered an injury or any ill effects whatsoever. The most recent model is infallible and simple to operate.”
In 1938 Dr Morris Fishbein (a powerful editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association) tried to buy into and control a company that Dr. Rife had set up called “Beam Ray” which sold the frequency generators. Dr. Morris Fishbein (1889-1976) originally studied to be a clown. Realizing he could make more money as a doctor, he entered medical school (where he failed anatomy), then barely graduated. He never treated a patient in his life. Why is he so important? Because he became head of the AMA, a position that he used to enrich himself and crush legitimate therapies out of existence. He appeared to be motivated solely by money and power. Fishbein (who was later convicted of racketeering charges) and Dr. Rife didn't see eye to eye and when his take over of “Beam Ray” failed he used all his power to try and destroy Dr. Rife's work.
A number of doctors who had learned of Rife's work had begun using his method with good results. But the AMA, led by Fishbein, was determined to stamp out any furtherance of Rife's work. Fishbein was behind the FDA presectution of Rife's colleagues, including a raid on the offices of Dr. John Crane. Crane's equipment and notes were seized and his office closed. The AMA brought a lawsuit against Crane and Rife, which Rife ultimately won (the judge ruled the AMA had used its monoply power to suppress Rife's work), but he was by then an alcoholic, unable to take the brutal retaliation and persecution he had suffered by his refusal to roll over to the AMA. His lab had suffered a mysterious fire, and some of his supporters had also died under suspicious circumstances. Doctors using his method of treatment risked their careers and most stopped. Rife's amazing research was simply lost to generations of cancer patients treated instead with expensive and painful chemo-therapy.
Chemotherapy is drug treatment which is used to try and kill cancer cells or stop them spreading. Different cancer cells respond to different drugs, so not all chemotherapy is the same. Sometimes as many as eight different drugs is employed to get the best effect, and doctors are constantly trying out new combinations to improve treatment. Chemotherapy is often associated with debillitating side effects, but many types of modern chemotherapy cause only mild problems. Because chemotherapy drugs are usually injected into the blood, they travel around the body and can attack cancer cells regardless of where they find them.
The FDA & The Threat of Alternative Medicine
In 1900, while attending the annual AMA convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, three doctors came up with the always-destructive but all-too-human idea of using the AMA as a front, in order to form a closed corporation for their financial benefit. A constitution, bylaws and a charter were created which appeared to give the members of the AMA a say in the activities of the corporation, whereas in reality the three directors had complete control. These three formed smaller political machines in every state, which they controlled through the main corporation .
In 1924, not surprisingly (perhaps inevitably) one of the directors became involved in a scandal and had to resign. He appointed Dr Morris Fishbein (the clown) to take his place. Fishbein ultimately took control of the AMA, and by 1934 owned all of the stock. In his new position he was able to assume dictatorial control of the state licensing boards and made it as difficult as he could for any doctor who did not join. He, and the three doctors who formed the corporation, were little more than extortionists, ones who made millions by using the power of the State.
As head of the AMA (and editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association from 1924-1949), he decided which drugs could be sold to the public based only how much advertising money he could extort from drug manufacturers, whom he required to place expensive ads in the JAMA. There were no drug-testing agencies, only Fishbein. It was irrelevant if the drugs worked. Ultimately Fishbein was convicted of racketeering charges.
Quackery is a word that immediately attracts attention. It implies medical fraud that may harm us or at least waste our money. All of us need to know when it is applied justly and when it is a false cry. It has also happened that some alternatives once labeled as quackery are now mainstream medical practices. Chiropractic was once targeted by the AMA for containment and eventual elimination, yet has grown more popular in this era of sports medicine and is even approved for Medicare payments. Other changes in acceptance have involved folic acid, vitamin C, other anti-oxidants, and nutritional supplements.
The AMA first launched a campaign to rid the country of quack remedies at the turn of the century. At that time there were no controls for fraudulent labeling and deceptive ads. We need to know, however, that since the early 60's organized groups have worked overtly and covertly to unfairly destroy beneficial alternative practices. This has been documented by P. Joseph Lisa in his book, The Assault on Medical Freedom (1994). He describes the pervasiveness of an ongoing campaign which began in 1963, when the AMA's Board of Trustees established the Committee on Quackery, headed by Doyle Taylor . He details the formation and functions of the Coordinating Conference on Health Information which paralleled the AMA group. The participants in this group were the AMA, American Cancer Society, American Pharmaceutical Association, Arthritis Foundation, Council of Better Business Bureaus, National Health Council, FDA, Federal Trade Commission, US Postal Service, and Office of Consumer Affairs.
These two groups acted as a task force on quackery. Minutes of meetings over subsequent years revealed interest in targeting vitamins, homeopathy, chiropractic, naturopathy, all alternative cancer treatments and other practices which compete with the drug sales of pharmaceutical companies.
In 1972, the illegal anti-competitive activities of the AMA were exposed to the public. Eventually the AMA had to pay the US Postal Service $1 million and owed the IRS $15 million. According to Lisa , in 1984, the Pharmaceutical Advertising Council and the FDA entered a joint campaign called the Public Service Anti-Quackery Campaign. They targeted entities in economic competition with the pharmaceutical and medical industries calling them "quacks" or "health frauds".
The FDA at the same time focused its attack against alternative manufacturers of vitamins, supplements, and herbs. Various groups had differing target priorities in the war but the targets had two things in common: they did not use pharmaceuticals in healing and they were in direct competition with conventional medical practices.
This campaign was waged in three ways: attempting to identify supplements as "quack products" which alternative medicine uses in place of drugs, investigation and seizure by the FDA using the Task Force once the items were identified, holding congressional hearings attacking supplements and making it easier to pass laws against their use.
A recent organized effort to suppress alternative medicine occurred in February 1997 when the Federation of State Medical Boards adopted the recommendations of the Special Committee on Health Care Fraud. To the naive eye, this report appeared to protect the public from medical fraud. However, the wording throughout had the far reaching purpose to eliminate all alternative practices. The FSMB included among its strategies the intent to strengthen the power of the State Medical Boards to monitor alternative medical practices, to work with state prosecutors on disciplinary action, and to oppose state legislative initiatives which might diminish the ability of State Medical Boards to regulate questionable health practices. The complete text of the FSMB Report has been reprinted in the Aug/Sept 1997 issue of the Townsend Letter for Doctor and Patients .
The FDA has been known to use legal maneuvering to try to end your access to natural health products (like vitamins, minerals and herbs) and natural health therapies of all sorts. It appears they are at it again. This time, their ploy is to issue a "Guidance" that implies these therapies can be "Medicine," which creates the risk that any non-physician who uses them could be held to be practicing medicine without a license. Since these practices could be considered "Medicine" any products intended for such use could be considered untested drugs and could therefore be forbidden.
Public, professional and industry comments are being accepted by the FDA on the proposal, that are viewed as a sly maneuver to "capture" alternative procedures and products as "medicine" and then make them illegal. The history of these repressive attacks by the FDA makes it clear that public outcry, IN HUGE NUMBERS, is the only effective tool that natural health supporters have to change this potentially disastrous outcome.
In the face of popular support of alternative therapies, usually paid for by the patient, it appears that the public is increasingly turning a deaf ear to these false cries of quackery. Supplements and other practices once labeled as quackery are gaining acceptance by mainstream doctors. Interest in homeopathy and naturopathy are undergoing revivals. There is great interest in alternative cancer and arthritis treatments.
Whether any of those who cry quackery today will avail themselves of alternative therapy when degenerative disease strikes home, is yet to be seen. Our own best protection is to stay healthy and to find doctors experienced in both conventional and holistic methods. As more of us are willing to pay for effective treatments that cost less and are non-toxic, the health insurers take increasing notice. On our part, we need to support state groups which are trying to protect our medical rights.
Powerful interests do not want a cure for cancer or any other disease for which they reap huge profits. Nor will any lone maverick researchers be allowed to bring to the public any new treatments, no matter how effective they may be; how would it look if a cure were to come from someone working without the billions of dollars the government has poured into institutions like the National Cancer Instititute? Back in the days of President Nixon, the US government declared a "War on Cancer." Billions of our dollars have been given to big research organizations with almost no results. The medical establishment in America has much to answer for.
While many do not expect their alternatives to be taken away from them immediately, they know it is easier to stop or change a bad guidance before it is finalized, rather than ever getting it repealed afterwards. FDA has given everyone an opportunity to let them know we want them to respect our right to choose the type of therapies we want for ourselves, including alternatives to pharmaceutical treatments.
